The first thing you'll notice about the back of the HV20 is that it's fat and wide...Well, one extra battery is always good and at least you can find batteries easily for HV20 unlike rootkit-virus Sony's extremely proprietary InfoSh*ts which cost arm and half leg...It's a good thing Canon threw a video light button on the HV20, because it would not be worth wasting the time questing...

I think I disagree on the terms you use...I want a tapeless camcorder with HV30 body and features...The HV30 is as good as it gets, it puts out better quality than AVCHD now, and this will likely not change in recent years...
