Here are some quick tips when buying GPS:

High resolution images on a size screen that makes sense for your application (car, hiking, etc.) will provide the best experience.
Big screen high end units can come with 640 x 480 displays which was a common resolution on 15 inch computer displays.
Enhanced accuracy circuitry like WAAS and SBAS get mixed reviews for actual added accuracy however you can always turn them off.

Raymarine A65 GPS

User from thehulltruth says: Although, every TV remote controll I have seen was better designed than the door on this A65 unit...I have not installed it yet so I can't give feedback on performance, but I have looked it over quite well and the appearance of quality is stellar compared to the A65...Sorry Raymarine, but I tell it as I see it and the A65's outward appearance toward quality on a scale of 1-10 is about a 2 where the Furuno is a 10...I ended up getting a Garmin 498 instead of spending twice as much for the A65...see more
