Here are some quick tips when buying Printer:
- Lasers are the best choice for black and white printers.
- Buy an inkjet for photos and affordable color prints.
- Color inkjet prints can cost $.10 and more. Black and white laser prints will cost around $.03.
- Most mid-range printers will turn out a black and white page in 5 10 seconds (6 12 ppm), high resolution color images can take minutes.
- Higher resolution is always better but 1200 x 2400 should produce good photo prints while text documents should only require 600 x 600. Remember, you can always reduce the print quality setting on higher resolution printers for faster printing.

User from fixyourownprinter says: Thanks for all the terrific help...i have had bad solder joints in the tray 4 power supply, if you take off the back cover of tray 4, tap the metal power supply with a screwdriver handle, then power cycle the printer...What I've noticed with these machines is that the adapter that the tray 4 plugs into goes bad...see more
