"The Onkyo curve generated for the left channel and its correspondence with the Audyssey Sound Equalizer (not shown) is amazingly good below 2kHz...A satellite-subwoofer system used with the Onkyo TXSR 705 is in my test queue for the next issue of TSS...In summary, the TXSR 705 is the lowest priced AV Receiver that not only adopts the Audyssey Mult EQ XT, but also offers full HDMI 1.3a decoding...External digital equalizers for stereo signals, let alone seven channels, are not available anywhere near the price of the TXSR 705 and there is no stereo EQ system I know of that has internal digital sub-woofer EQ and bass management..." read more »

"The vendor was Best Price Audio Video (bestpriceaudiovideo.com) a Cleveland dealer who was very good on customer service, and shipped within 48 hours of reveicing my payment...At least the Onkyo sounds good and solid and not cheap when it does it! This is actually for the DX-C380, the current model...A buck is still a buck! But when I put one of the store's CD's into the "new" JVC unit on the shelf, it started making a grinding sound as if the disk was rubbing on something inside! NOT GOOD! Was it the disk..." read more »
