Reviews: The Azur 540R v3 may lack the auto set-up of price rivals, but its big-print menus are easy to navigate, and while its remote could do with some backlighting, it’s nice to use...Excitement is delivered in bulk, and the 540R is able to retain impressive levels of composure even at antisocial volumes – no film you listen to through this receiver will want for atmosphere or attack...It’s not the most soothing of companions, but the 540R v3 is capable of lighting a fire under any film or music you care to play...

Reviews: The 640R’s smooth, substantial fascia is mercifully free of extraneous controls, as is the beautifully tactile remote handset – only the thin, brittle-feeling volume control and the BBC Micro-style set-up menus strike a low-rent note...The manual set-up is simple enough (though it’s a struggle to get the subwoofer to meet the speakers at a common volume level), and the fascia display, while a bit on the ‘big print for the optically impaired’ side, is at least legible from a distance...Thanks to the 640R’s HDMI-switching, video connections to a display can be routed through the receiver...Dialogue is distinct, the bottom end – while fractionally fuzzy – hits good and hard, and effects are steered rapidly...
