Picture quality is very good in good daylight...I had some shots at night in well lit family room, and the video is not as sharp as day time shots, but still very good...Battery is charged on the charging base or on camera - Only 10x zoom Overall, pretty happy with the purchase, and will be a lot of funs making family videos...
There is no motor sound in any video and the mic has a good reception...Conclusion -> SR200 is a great handycam, more optical zoom capability would have made this anyone's blind choice...I do not recommend a DVD one, because of its DVD limitation...
