On the whole the results were good but not outstanding...That's not to say this is foolproof, but on the whole it does a good job as long as you are fair in your usage and follow standard photography guidelines...High levels of detail were captured in our test shots, especially in super macro mode (see beer bottle) although overall images were, on the whole, on the softer side than we would have perhaps...

But I do like to take good pictures, and do have a special need for close-up photos, and both of these needs are accomplished by this camera in a way that exceeds my rather high hopes and expectations...The results are so good that I have already consigned my tripods and special lighting platform to the storage shed where they will reside until my next yard sale...I have proof that it can make one...

Without flash, it's bad like other point and shoot ones in dim lighting...I will continue to use the camera and update you...but from my experience so far, a must buy!! I had a Samsung 5.1mp and it took good pictures but the recovery was slow and the batteries did not last! But the this new camera is the best...I would recommend anyone to buy this camera...
