Overall, this camera is OK, but the z612 is a much better deal...If you want a camera that is a step up from the z612(more features, slightly better image quality), then I'd recommend the Canon S3...In a pinch, it even operates on 2 AA's.The one bad feature is that the owners manual is not good...

Image stabilizer Kodak changed the menus a tad too much, slighly weak macro, doesn't come with rechargeable baterry or charger...This camera can take pictures! It has the ability to meter the light properly allowing the pictures to be super clear...Be careful buying a docking station for it!! I like this camera very much...
